Build A Rocket Boy has been working on the game ever since the birth of its concept back in 2016. The title is currently in development, with studios based in Edinburgh, Budapest, and Los Angeles working on it. Everywhere’s primary goal has been stated as becoming a less restrictive experience compared to other games.

Everywhere’s Game Director and Founder of the company, Leslie Benzies, commented about the formation of the new studio:

“I am thrilled to have these fantastic industry veterans heading up our Montpellier studio. The talent in the Montpellier area that has been joining us over the past year has taken Everywhere to a whole new level. Putting down roots and opening an office in France will dramatically expand our footprint and is the next natural step in Build A Rocket Boy’s evolution.”

In 2020, Build A Rocket Boy moved the game’s development to the Unreal Engine. This year in August, a trailer was shown at Gamescom for the upcoming title. The company has announced that the launch date for Everywhere will be sometime in 2023.
