Kojima Productions, developer of Death Stranding has announced that as of November 8, the game has surpassed 10 million players across all platforms. Death Stranding was released on November 8, 2019, and celebrates its third anniversary this year.
Death Stranding was originally released on Playstation 4 on November 8, 2019. It was then released for PC on Steam and Epic by 505 Games on July 14, 2020. On September 24, 2021, the Director’s Cut launched, adding expanded areas, extended storylines through new missions, and a new system dubbed the Social Strand System. The new system allows players to stay connected with each other through in-game actions, such as donating resources to rebuild structures.
Death Stranding and the Director’s Cut edition are available on Playstation Plus and PC Game Pass. The Director’s cut is the definitive edition and is currently available on Steam, Epic Games, and Playstation 5.
