In 2022, a new mobile game will be born from the partnership of Green Grey and Megu Games.

Green Grey made its fifth investment this year. Together with the investor company Megu Games, it will develop and publish mobile games. An initial investment of 1.1 million will be made in the partnership with Florida-based Megu Games.

Known for its Solitaire Go: Kingdom Quest game on the App Store, Megu Games has started working on a new game scheduled to be released in the second quarter of 2022 after the partnership. It is known that this new game will be a word game called Word Estates. According to Pocket Gamer news, this new game is being developed on the company’s previous game, Hooked on Words. The game can be played individually or in teams and is based on tournament logic. Hooked on Words has been downloaded nearly three million times to date and has earned almost $2 million in ad revenue.

Megu Games boasts a team of industry veterans from the likes of Disney, Warner Bros., Microsoft, and Apple who, between them, they have been involved in Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, and more. Dima Morozov, the Founder and CEO of Green Grey said:

“This is one of the best and strongest investments we made in the last year. Megu Games is an absolute benchmark in quality for us, both by the level of their game products and the business processes the company runs. The market niche occupied by Megu Games is very interesting and currently not too crowded. The Megu Games team has tremendous experience developing games for the PC, consoles, and mobile, and studio founders Ron and Rebecca Shellhamer share our approach to mobile games as new means of communication.”

This is Green Grey’s fifth publicly-traded deal since June. Megu Games CEO and Co-Founder Ron Shellhamer said about the deal:

“We couldn’t be more excited to enter into this new partnership with Green Grey as they share our vision and excitement for what this game can be. Their team has been incredibly supportive and will add great value to Megu Games where we need it most. We feel Green Grey will play an important role in the mobile gaming space moving forward and are glad to join them on their journey.”

Green Grey laid the groundwork for its breakthrough in the mobile game industry with its investments this year. For the future, it seems that the developers, who will produce new games with the support of Green Grey, will release products that niche audiences can love.
