Since its launch on February 10, Hogwarts Legacy has been played for more than 280 million hours to date. The game also broke the Twitch record for single-player games with 1.28 million peak concurrent viewers at launch.
David Haddad, president of Warner Bros. Games, said, “We are so thrilled and proud to see the player response to ‘Hogwarts Legacy’ from gamers, fans who are new to gaming, and reviewers around the world.”
Hogwarts Legacy had dark clouds over its head with a postponed release day and gamers boycotting the game in protest of J.K. Rowling. The Harry Potter author’s previous comments have angered communities and started a boycott.
Hogwarts Legacy is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. The game will be available to the previous gen, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, on April 4 and July 25 for Nintendo Switch.
