SPERA will offer the chance to use NFTs across chains and games.

Scheduled for completion within the year, SPERA is a cross-chain NFT gaming platform that connects NFTs published on various blockchain networks and platforms, making them interoperable.

Currently, most NFTs published and distributed on various existing blockchain platforms are not widely used. Similarly, NFTs in play-to-earn games currently have limited use as they can only be used on the same game and platform.

According to CryptoNinjas news, the new platform to be developed by ICON and 2bytes aims to solve these problems. SPERA will connect various NFTs from different blockchain ecosystems. These NFTs can also be used in other games on the platform. SPERA will use BTP (Blockchain Transmission Protocol) and support the play-to-earn ecosystem.

BTP is a trademarked technology developed by the global cross-chain ICON project that connects various blockchains to make them interoperable. BTP technology differs from typically centralized cross-chain technologies. Its distributed architecture, high security, and versatility make BTP a unique technology.

Under the newly announced partnership, ICONLOOP will enable and support the establishment of the platform based on its technological expertise in previously developing and publishing various blockchain technologies. The ICON Foundation will fund the establishment of an interoperable blockchain ecosystem using BTP technology.

Gaming services provider 2bytes, on the other hand, will build the blockchain service and manage the business side of the new platform. 2bytes currently provides localization, quality assurance, and global consulting services to over 40 game developers and has recently established its own game development studio.
