Among Us and Among Us VR developer Innersloth has announced that the VR version of the title has now reached over 1 million copies sold. Among Us VR managed to break the milestone in less than three months.
The title was first launched on November 10, 2022, as Innersloth stated that the game had been played more than 4 million times. The company also shared that 44,000 matches are held per day on average, with gamers from 122 different countries. Gamers have dedicated over 89 million minutes to tasks, sabotages, and betrayal.
The team announced the milestone with this message:
“We’re beyond thrilled to announce that Among Us VR has officially reached over 1 million units sold, and less than ten weeks after launch! So many of you amazing little beans running around the Skeld II, I can’t even count to one million! What the heck?!
“All of this couldn’t have been possible without all of you. We’re so grateful for all of the support that you’ve shown for making this game and its community the best one ever, just like the original Among Us.”
Among Us VR has also shared a roadmap for 2023, indicating future plans and features that will be included soon. The developer stated that features like custom lobby settings, in-game reporting, and voice chat moderation will be added soon, as the players have already requested.
