MY.GAMES announced that it has acquired Mamboo Games.

MY.GAMES announced that it has acquired Mamboo Games, based in Minsk, Belarus, which publishes hyper-casual and hybrid-casual games and develops its own games. Mamboo Games’ portfolio includes more than 30 games in total.

MY.GAMES is now the majority owner of the company after holding a minority stake in Mamboo since last year. MY.GAMES is making a deferred payment of more than $2 million at closing, the amount of which will be determined based on business performance.

Mamboo Games is best known for its racing game Shift Race, which reached 15 million downloads in the first three months of its release, and Billion Builders, which reached the top 50 on the iOS platform in the US and the top 10 in China. Originally a hyper-casual game publisher, the company has now expanded its portfolio to include hybrid-casual games such as Viking Life: Wild North, Scary Pranks: Horror Puzzle Survival, and others.

MY.GAMES CEO Vasily Maguryan said the following about the acquisition:

“We invested in Mamboo Games in October 2020, and during that time the team has been doing well and releasing a commercially successful new release each month. There is a symbiosis between the expertise of MY.GAMES in mid-core games and the expertise of Mamboo Games, which allows us to create successful projects in the hybrid-casual genre. We clearly understand how important it is to have flexibility and mobility in the market today with hyper-casual, and we will effectively scale Mamboo’s business and offer them all the benefits of a MY.GAMES open partner environment.”
