Netflix has recently been stepping further into the game industry with several studio acquisitions. As reported by mobilegamer, the streaming giant has posted a job position for a Game Director.

The open position’s ideal candidate would have “At least 10 years of game design experience, including experience as a Creative Director, Game Director, or comparable design leadership role,” and extensive experience working on live service games. The job’s requirements also mention an understanding of social systems and gameplay both competitive and cooperative, as well as experience with FPS or Third Person Shooter games.
‘We’re looking for a creative and highly-skilled Game Director to help us forge the game direction and creative vision on a brand-new AAA PC game‘, the job posting reads.
Netflix Games Studio in Los Angeles also has open positions for an Art Director, Technical Director, and many others. It is likely that the new hires will be working with former Overwatch Executive Producer Chacko Sonny, who was hired by Netflix in October, to lead the company’s new studio.
Netflix has been increasing its game development capabilities rapidly with the recent acquisition of Spry Fox. It had previously acquired Night School Studio, Next Games, and Boss Fight Entertainment as well.
