Mobile game developer and publisher Netmarble has announced its financial results for Q3 2022. The company reported $547.50 million in revenue with an EBITDA of $16.42 million.

The mobile gaming entity indicated $1.57 billion in sales with a net loss of $66 million since the beginning of 2022. Casual games accumulated almost half (47%) of the revenue as RPGs (24%) and MMORPGs (21%) got close to a quarter. The remaining genres in the company’s portfolio totaled 8% of its revenue.

The operating loss for the third quarter of 2022 has been determined as $30 million, and Netmarble revealed the net loss numbers as $218 million. The Kabam and SpinX Games parent stated that 83% of its sales came from overseas.

Young-sig Kown, CEO of Netmarble, shared thoughts on the recent success and future goals of the company:

“For three consecutive quarters, we’ve been balancing increased costs and rising exchange rates, with delays in new game launches and underperformance of select titles, such as Seven Knights Revolution.”

“We’re optimistic we can drive improved results and strengthen Netmarble’s competitive edge with The King of Fighters Arena and Charlotte’s Table launching in Q4 and participation in global game shows, beginning with Korea’s G-STAR in November. We will preview an array of upcoming titles, including Solo Leveling: Arise and Arthdal Chronicles, as well as anticipated PC titles Paragon: The Overprime and HypeSquad.”

Netmarble also provided information on its top-performing titles. Marvel Contest of Champions took the crown by comprising 11% of the total revenue. Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, Cash Frenzy, Jackpot World, and Lotsa Slots followed close behind, each with an 8% contribution. The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross stood at 6%, as the remaining games in the company’s portfolio totaled up to 51% of its revenue.
