Nitro Games signs a €9 million agreement with Netflix

Nitro Games will provide Netflix with multiplatform game development and post-launch live services for an unannounced game project based on an undisclosed IP.

Finnish mobile game developer and publisher Nitro Games sealed a major game development and publishing deal with the streaming giant Netflix. The total value of the agreement is estimated at approximately 9 million EUR.

With this Agreement, Nitro Games will provide Netflix with multiplatform game development and post-launch live services for an unannounced game project based on an undisclosed IP.

”We are excited to start our collaboration with Netflix. This project is a good match with our capabilities and well aligned with our vision and strategy.” says Jussi Tähtinen, CEO of Nitro Games.

As part of Nitro Games’ strategy to collaborate with selected customers, this deal aligns with the company’s commitment to not only create games under its proprietary IP but also cater to the specific needs and demands of external partners.

Since its launch in November 2021, Netflix Games has been extremely active in the gaming space. In just 2 years, Netflix Games acquired four studios, opened two new studios, and even made a deal with Ubisoft for three exclusive games.
