FuturLab is an award-winning indie game studio founded in 2003. The studio’s games are for PC, console, and handheld. Their portfolio includes games like Velocity 2X, Mini-Mech Mayhem, Tiny Trax, Surge Deluxe, Coconut Dodge Revitalised, Velocity Ultra, Velocity, Surge, Coconut Dodge, Fuel Tiracas, and Beats Slider.

PowerWash Simulator, published by Square Enix Collective, was released in July 2022. The game has been on Steam Early Access since May 2021. The long early access period helped the team improve the game with players’ feedback. After the successful early access period, the game was released on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox Serie S, and Xbox One.

The game has a straightforward concept, but players seem to like it already. Many players commented how entertaining it is, even though they are not usually fans of the simulator genre. Three million players is a significant number for an indie game, but it’s also important to note that the game is available via Game Pass. This helps PowerWash Simulator to reach new players more accessible.

FuturLab is still working on improving PowerWash Simulator. The team revealed they are working on a few new missions for the coming weeks but did not disclose what’s coming. Besides the planned updates, the studio is working on an unannounced Sci-Fi adventure game with Thunderful.
