According to Dune’s data Reddit’s Avatar NFTs sales have reached $1.88 million with a 799% increase. Reddit launched a collectible avatar marketplace on Polygon and started selling CryptoSnoo NFTs created by Reddit users.

In the span of 24 hours, Reddit avatar NFTs have generated almost $2 million in sales across transactions close to 5000. Reddit Chief Product Officer Pali Bhat said more than 3 million Polygon-based Reddit Vault wallets had been created, and around the same number of avatar NFTs are in circulation.
Avatar NFTs are based on Reddit mascot Snoo. Reddit NFT Project Manager said in a tweet, “Reddit CEO Steve Huffman made the process so much easier for noobs who aren’t familiar with crypto or NFT by not using any “crypto words” in any of the announcements that were made.”
This statement may be a bit raw but not using crypto words may actually have an impact on sales. A previous case study by Coda says 89% of gamers are not big fans of the technology. This statistic does not apply to general audience perfectly but it still gives an idea.
