Nintendo Switch exclusive The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been leaked and released online on pirate websites. The game will be available on the Nintendo Switch on May 12.
Pirated physical copies has surfaced online and is sold at $300. Hacked rom version of the game can be played on PC via an emulator and according to sources it is running smoothly. According to Eurogamer.net, Nintendo lawyers were seeking to force Discord to reveal the identity of the leaker, after the images were uploaded to its platform.
Nintendo has been plagued with leaks recently. Switch’s other flagship franchise Pokémon’s latest game, Pokémon Scarlet And Violet, was also leaked weeks before the release date. Leaks and pirated copies Nintendo’s Pokémon Violet and Scarlet sell 10M in only three days.
A few weeks ago, Series producer Eiji Aonuma presented 10-minute gameplay that takes place on a floating island above Hyrule. The gameplay showcased Link’s new ability. Recall, which he can go back in time, is shown at the start. Aonuma said, “There are lots of ways to reach the Sky Island,” as he demonstrated Link’s Recall ability.
