GFK Entertainment, the well-known German market research company, announced the best-selling boxed games in the UK for the week ending on the 14th.
As the holiday season approaches, a heartwarming trend emerges on the UK boxed games charts – family-oriented games are taking the spotlight. The Grinch: Christmas Adventures and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope climb to the top 10 in their release week.
Lords of the Fallen, the action role-playing video game developed by Deck13 and CI Games, entered the chart as the fourth best-selling game of the week, to no one’s surprise since the game had a hype train going for a while.

The biggest surprise of the week was Red Dead Redemption. The remastered game had a quick update and became available at 60 fps, which seems to affect the sales.
In a testament to their enduring appeal and blockbuster status, EA SPORTS FC 24, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor have maintained their stronghold in the top three positions of the UK boxed games charts for the second consecutive week.
Mortal Kombat 1 and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fell short this week. Both games dropped out of the top 10 for the first time since their release. MK 1’s short reign surprised the gamers since the game was released just a month ago.
