Original Boss Fight Entertainment founders relaunch studio as Bossfight

The new company, Bossfight, is led by CEO David Rippy, chief product officer Bill Jackson, and COO Scott Winsett.

The relaunched studio is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and is currently developing an unannounced title for PC and mobile platforms.

The relaunch follows the closure of Netflix-owned Boss Fight Entertainment in 2025. Netflix acquired Boss Fight Entertainment in March 2022 as part of its games expansion. At the time, Netflix said the Texas-based studio would help accelerate its ability to offer games to members.

The studio developed and launched Squid Game: Unleashed, a party game based on the hit Netflix series, before it was shut down.

Boss Fight Entertainment was originally formed in 2013 by veterans from Zynga Dallas and Ensemble Studios.

“This is about bringing back the team that built Bossfight.

We’ve created and scaled games side-by-side for well over a decade. Reuniting that leadership team under the Bossfight name – and returning to the principles that have guided us from the beginning – is something we’re incredibly excited about.”
