All candidates for Minecraft’s mob vote revealed

Players have been discussing the possibility of adding all three mobs to the game, even rigging the vote to have all three mobs to have the same vote percentage.

Mojang has revealed all the candidates for this year’s mob vote event. Penguin, Crab, and Armadillo have been nominated for players to choose from. Voting will start on October 13th and end on October 15th. The winner will be announced the same day at Minecraft Live 2023.

Armadillos will spawn in warm biomes like the Savanna and curl into a ball for protection, similar to shulkers. Just like the Turtle mob, Armadillo will have a chance to drop a Scute, which can be used to craft protective armor for wolves.

Crabs will spawn in Mangrove Swamps and may drop a Crab Claw, which the player can use to place and break blocks further away.

Penguins will spawn in Stony Shores. “Clumsy” on land, but may give a speed boost to a boat player, similar to Dolphins Grace.

Players have been discussing the possibility of adding all three mobs to the game, even rigging the vote to have all three mobs to have the same vote percentage. All three mobs are not considered game-changing by the players and might have little impact on the game as far as they are concerned.

YouTubers have been a force to reckon with in the past votes, like MumboJumbo, who was an advocate for Phantoms and Dream as he asked his massive fan base to vote for Glow Squids. The legendary YouTuber Etho seems to like Penguins, which might sway the voters in favor of the little clumsy birds.

Voting will start on October 13th and end on October 15th. The winner will be announced the same day at Minecraft Live 2023.
