Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 claims the top of the UK boxed sales chart

Even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ranked at the top, the sales and the critics’ scores were not as good as last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

GFK Entertainment, the well-known German market research company, announced the best-selling boxed games in the UK for the second week of November. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 topped the charts right after its release, dethroning Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Even though Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ranked at the top, the sales and the critics’ scores were not as good as last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. According to GamesIndstury.biz, the boxed sales are down 25% compared to last year.

Call of Duty set the previous record with Black Ops 2 back in 2015, as the title achieved the milestone in half a month.

The rest of the list almost remained the same: RoboCop: Rogue City fell out of the top 10, giving its place to Marlvel’s Spider-Man 2.
