GFK Entertainment, the renowned German market research company, revealed the best-selling boxed games in the UK for the week ending January 13th. EA FC 24, which lost its place last week when Hogwarts Legacy was featured prominently in the sale campaigns, is back on top this week.
EA FC 24’s success is worth reflecting on, as it remains at the top of the best-selling list and has a solid place among the most meme’d and most hated games.
Christmas sales once again dominated this week’s sales charts. It Takes Two and Star Wars: Jedi Survivor were two of the games that saw extremely big discounts, while Mortal Kombat 1 landed in third place.
Unfortunately, the list is not particularly enriched with new games, which is another indication of the popularity of games and the importance of sustaining interest.
