The makers of Dead Space (the remake gamers are yet to experience) and Star Was: Squadrons landed on a new high-profile project: Marvel’s Iron Man.
Earlier last August, EA Sports and Marvel announced a partnership and said they’ll turn footballers into superheroes and there’s more exciting news to come. Well, a brand new AAA Iron Man game is indeed some big and exciting news.
Iron Man or Tony Stark is one of the most popular superheroes out there, having risen in popularity thanks to Robert Downey Jr.’s memorable performances across multiple films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans of both the comics and the MCU have been asking for an Iron Man game for quite a while now and their thirst will be quenched for good.
According to EA Motive’s official announcement, the upcoming Iron Man title will be a single-player action-adventure game and it’s in the early development stage. However, that’s all the news they’ve shared for the time being. No announcement dates were shared. Considering EA is the publisher, gamers can expect to play Iron Man on both PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
Another superhero game from Marvel, Spider-Man was recently released on PC and become the second biggest launch for PlayStation on Steam. Marvel also found critical success in Eidos-Montréal’s Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, another single-player action-adventure title.
There’s also an untitled game in the works featuring two iconic Marvel heroes; Captain America and Black Panther.
