GFK Entertainment, the well-known German market research company, announced the best-selling games in the UK for the last week of September. To no one’s surprise, EA Sports FC 24, the new edition of the best-selling game formerly known as FIFA, became the best-selling game of the week.
The new football (or soccer, depending on your location) game dethroned Mortal Kombat 1, another new game that was just released. According to GameIndustry.biz, the sales are actually 30% lower than FIFA 23 at launch.

Before the release of FC24, EA removed its previous FIFA games from sale on Steam, Epic, and other digital storefronts ahead of the release of EA SPORTS FC 24. EA has never removed older versions of FIFA before, but due to the name and rebranding, EA’s decision to remove older games did not come as a surprise.
