Sorrel Games has been formed by former Zynga professionals Yiğit Solmaz and Berkin Atar.
Solmaz leads engineering as co-founder and CTO, while Atar brings product experience as Co-Founder and CPO.
The team defines itself as a next-generation mobile gaming studio that combines creativity, technology, and polished design to develop hybrid casual games enjoyed by millions of players worldwide.
Leadership background
Yiğit Solmaz brings a live-ops and performance-heavy engineering background from Zynga, with 15+ years of experience in building, launching, and scaling games across Facebook, the App Store, and Google Play.
He worked across multiple genres, with a strong focus on casual and puzzle games, and a proven track record in delivering products to market. Earlier in his career, Solmaz served as CTO at Cratoonz (2019–2020), tied to the match-3 title Cat Heroes: Puzzle Adventure.
Berkin Atar brings a product-led background shaped by casual and card live games.
He spent four years at Zynga, moving from Product Specialist (Aug 2021–Jun 2023) to Product Manager (Jun 2023–Jul 2025). His Zynga scope included product and project management across global trick-taking card games, Spades Plus, and work on newly developing casual titles, including a PvP match-3 project.
Before Zynga, Atar worked at Gamegos as Product Manager & Game Analyst (Jun 2020–Aug 2021), where his responsibilities included product management and level design on Manor Cafe, a casual match-3 title.
