Legendary GBA title Fire Emblem is coming to Nintendo Switch

The game was initially released for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Intelligent Systems, and published by Nintendo in 2003.

Blaze Emblem, or Blaze Emblem: The Blazing Blade as known in Japan, the legendary Game Boy Advanced fantasy tactical role-playing game will be available for everyone with a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership as part of the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online library.

The game was initially released for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Intelligent Systems, and published by Nintendo. The game was released on April 25, 2003, in Japan, November 3, 2003 in North America, and July 16, 2004 in Europe. Upon its initial release, it was titled Fire Emblem in the West until it was officially rebranded with its original title upon the release of Fire Emblem Heroes.

In Fire Emblem, the nation of Lycia stands on the precipice of war after centuries of peace. Turmoil grows as noble houses plot treason, allies become enemies, and armies stand poised for combat, all while a mysterious figure manipulates empires from the shadows. Now Lyn, along with Eliwood and Hector, must amass their own army to fight back against the forces that would destroy everything they hold dear before the world is burned to ash.

The game will be available to play on June 22, 2023. Nintendo Switch Online or Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership is required to play the game.
