G.Round, the community-driven playtesting platform for games in development, has unveiled the Private Playtest Service. This service empowers game studios and publishers to thoroughly assess game performance in a secure and controlled environment before launching to the public.

The Private Playtest Service simplifies the testing process, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness. To maintain strict confidentiality and grant complete control over user access to games, the service follows a step-by-step approach:

Private Testing Consultation: G.Round initiates an early-stage consultation with clients to gain comprehensive insights into their specific requirements and strategize private testing.

Studio/Publisher Onboarding: During onboarding, clients can customize their private test experience by creating surveys and research questions unique to their game. Clients may also integrate G.Round’s proprietary SDK package to collect in-game data, which will be analyzed alongside G.Round’s actual user data.

Creation of a Secure Game Testing Environment: Each tester participating in private tests undergoes a vetting process to ensure suitability within a controlled game testing environment. Measures include signing non-disclosure agreements and verifying personal credentials before acceptance into the Private Test program. Additional security features such as authentication tools for access, file encryption for heightened security, and watermarking on all game recordings are incorporated into the platform.

Real-Time Game Testing: Studios and publishers receive appropriate tools to gather real-time engagement data from testers. This includes dashboard tools for live feedback, dedicated communication channels for the testing group, and live support from G.Round to guide them through the process. These provisions ensure a convenient and seamless client experience throughout the testing phase.

Outcome and Results: Once tester feedback is collected, G.Round prepares a personalized and comprehensive report for the client. The report encompasses a professional game review and analyzes candid feedback from private game testers. Additionally, clients receive video recordings of the testers’ gameplay, including highlighted sections, offering a comprehensive understanding of how the game engaged testers.

Danny Woo, Founder and CEO of G.Round emphasized the significance of engaging with an exclusive group of testers. This approach allows developers and publishers to gather invaluable insights, improving game performance and user experience. Woo stated, “The platform is a critical tool in refining games, helping to identify issues or concerns, and ultimately helping ensure a highly successful and polished commercial release.”

G.Round aims to contribute to the success of game launches by providing playtesting opportunities to developers and publishers before the commercial release. While G.Round has previously offered only public testing services, the introduction of the Private Playtest Service now allows for a customized and efficient testing experience.
