2020 didn’t start good and still not going good, coronavirus which started in China now travels around the world. It caused many delays and cancellations of events like GDC 2020 and MWC Barcelona. Pocket Gamer Connects, the anticipated games industry conference answer is to go digitally. The team is hoping to do the same things as the years before. It’s also worth noting that this is Pocket Gamer’s first virtual event.

Pocket Gamer Connects Digital will start on April 6

The online conference will run through 6 and 10 April. You will be able to ask questions and interact with speakers and viewers as most streams. There’s going to be more than forty speakers who will talk about many different topics such as monetisation and growth, global game trends and more. The virtual event will also use an online meeting system with built-in audio/video conferencing. This will allow you to network with other people throughout the day without physically being there.

Pocket Gamer acknowledges that this digital event might not be perfect and it will “not have all benefits of an IRL conference”.
