GameUp Africa opens applications for BootCamp Training Program for its fourth edition

GameUp Africa is dedicated to empowering aspiring game development talents across Africa and providing them with the necessary resources to thrive in the global games market.

GameUp Africa, a training initiative spearheaded by Maliyo Games announced the opening of applications for its 2024 training program. This initiative is dedicated to empowering aspiring game development talents across Africa, providing them with necessary resources to thrive in a global games market.

Officially launched in 2021, the program looks to build capacity across the African games industry by building robust talent pipelines, locally. Particularly on the continent, game development resources are few and far between with many aspiring developers with little or no access to formal training programs or institutions. GameUp Africa directly addresses this issue, in line with Maliyo Games’ vision to become the largest game developer on the continent.

We’re extremely proud of announcing the fourth edition of GameUp Africa. It truly is a testament to the industry impact and longevity of this program. This year, we’ve expanded our reach further, focusing on even more skills needed to succeed in both the local and global games industries.
