April is over, we got the most downloaded mobile games for the month last week. Today we’ll talk about the top mobile games by revenue. As expected, Tencent dominated the overall revenue and App Store revenue charts with PUBG Mobile and Honor of Kings. According to the insights and analysis Sensor Tower, PUBG Mobile and generated more than $225.2 million in player spending. That is 241.4 percent growth from the same month last year. About 58.8 percent of the battle royal’s revenue was from China. The United States came number two followed up by Saudi Arabia.
Coin Master climbed the top mobile games by revenue on Android
Based on the report, Moon Active’s Coin Master generated the highest revenue on Google Play. NCSOFT’s Lineage 2 ranks 2 while Playrix’s Gardenscapes follows in third place, it’s worth mentioning that Playrix surpassed 1 billion downloads recently. NCSOFT comes back again with Lineage M in number four. Mixi’s Monster Strike closes the top five. On the App Store, Tencent’s PUBG Mobile and Honor of Kings dominate the list while Roblox comes in third. Alibaba’s Three Kingdoms Strategic ranks four followed by Mixi’s Monster Strike. When it comes to overall revenue, the top three iOS games take the same ranks but Monster Strike comes in fourth place while Coin Master closes the top five. You can see the full list below.
Now let’s talk numbers. Honor of Kings, the second game on overall revenue list generated $156 million in gross revenue in April 2020. Almost all of its revenue (94.4 percent to be precise) comes from China followed by Thailand with 2.3 percent. Roblox revenue reached $96 million, that’s a 37.4 percent up from March. Also, this represents a new record for the game.
Fortnite saw its best month on the App Store
Epic Games’ Fortnite ranked ninth on the App Store in the top mobile games by revenue list. Players spending crossed $44 million, that’s an 89 percent increase from the previous march. Also, the game crossed $1 billion in revenue recently!
