Horror game Death Relives releases demo

Death Relives is a horror game based on Aztec mythology, where the player must avoid the mythical monster Xipetotec if they want to escape.

İstanbul based Nyctophile Studios is developing Death Relives, a horror game inspired by Aztec mythology. Development on Death Relives began in 2020, and the studio is using Unreal Engine 5 to bring the game to life. The first playable demo of the game was released over Halloween.

Death Relives has the player experience game through the eyes of Adrian, the playable protagonist of the game. The game begins with Adrien and his mother returning from his highschool graduation ball, and seeing a motionless body on the ground in an empty, secluded place. The body comes to life, and drags Adrian’s mother to a mansion deep in the woods. The young Adrien follows, with the goal of saving his mother.

Throughout the game, Adrian tries to rescue his mother, and escape the mansion. In the process, players can hide in closets, behind curtains and in chests to avoid many enemies, one of which is a notable Aztec legend, the Xipetotec.

The Demo of Death Relives is available on Steam. The game will fully release in 2023.

Nyctophile Studios was established in 2020, in İstanbul. The studio’s main goal is to develop PC and Console games, and it has been working on its main project, Death Relives, since 2020. The Studio joined the Playstation Partner program on March 24, 2022 and received a seed investment.

Nyctophile Studios’ main purpose at the moment is to release Death Relives on Steam, Epic Games, Xbox X, Xbox S, and Playstation 5.
