Ersin Taskin, Co-Founder of Dappium and Heroes Chained, İbrahim Kaya, Co-FOunder and Managing Partner of Suji and Mert Deveci, Founder of Troy Labs attended Mobidictum Business Conference 2022 and held a session about how will web3 change the industry.
After a short introduction, Mert Deveci talked about how he discovered Web3 gaming and NFTs could benefit the whole ecosystem in terms of user acquisition and new revenue streams. He later explained how players from lower GPD countries could invest more in Web3 gaming rather than Web2 with the play-to-earn model.
İbrahim Kaya explained the process of transitioning from making Web2 games to making Web3 games and how they reverse-engineered the idea of making a blockchain game. He later compared Web2 and Web3 in-app purchases and the effect of secondary marketplaces.
The trio discussed the future of Web3 gaming and discussed how most players have opposing viewpoints regarding blockchain, NFT, and cryptocurrency. İbrahim Kaya suggested that to get players from Web2 to Web3, necessities like creating a wallet should be more accessible.
The panel ended with questions from the attendees and a discussion of how big companies like Facebook or Microsoft could transition from Web2 to Web3.
