Hypemasters was founded in 2019 by Boris Kalmykov, who has worked at companies like Unity and Facebook in the past. Today, it has 34 employees from Playrix and Wargaming.

Boris Kalmykov, Co-Founder and CEO of Hypemasters, has the following words about the investment:

“This is a breakthrough moment for Hypemasters. Funding from new partners — GEM Capital and Ludus — together with follow-on investment from TGF will help us strengthen the team, launch World War Armies and continue growing beyond a single game.”

The company’s first game, World War Armies, is a real-time strategy game set during World War II. The technical beta version of the game, inspired by Company of Heroes, took place in the 4th quarter of 2020. The game, which is only available on Google Play for now, will soon be released to the App Store.
