Inworld AI is a premier character engine, utilizing AI-driven characters in gaming, entertainment, and interactive experiences. The company has announced the addition of Jamil Moledina to their team as VP of Partnerships. With an extensive background in the games industry, including roles at Google, Electronic Arts, the Game Developers Conference, Lamina1, and more, Moledina brings a wealth of experience to his new position.
The newly appointed VP of Partnerships, Jamil Moledina, commented:
“Having a world where the characters aren’t scripted and running canned animations, but instead have their own inner lives, emotions, and consequences, that’s when we can really start to suspend disbelief and feel like we’re in another world. The technology alone won’t take us there, but in the hands of the right developers, the possibilities have no limits.”
Throughout his career, Moledina has held significant leadership positions across various aspects of the games industry, encompassing operations, business development, production, and publishing. Notably, he served as the Executive Director of the Game Developers Conference, a role that was instrumental in elevating the event into the premier professional gathering for the game industry. Moledina’s most recent position was at Lamina1, Neal Stephenson’s blockchain-for-the-metaverse venture, where he established the developer early access program for the platform. He will also continue his involvement with Stephenson’s IP production company, Crater Productions.
Ilya Gelfenbeyn, CEO of Inworld, highlighted Moledina’s unique qualifications and genuine enthusiasm for the company’s mission, stating:
“Not only does the depth of Jamil’s background and connections across games, entertainment, and tech make him such a unique and qualified candidate, his genuine enthusiasm and conviction for what we’re building is infectious. Together, we think it makes him the perfect fit in becoming our central touchpoint to game studios, engines, infrastructure players, virtual worlds, and anyone else interested in our technology. He’s going to make a huge impact for us and our partners.”
Moledina envisions AI as a catalyst for the next breakthrough in gaming and immersive experiences, shifting the focus from how games are made to how they are played. He believes AI has the potential to redefine player experiences, akin to the impact of creativity in Minecraft or location-based mechanics in Pokemon Go.
