John Wright, former Vice President of Mobile Games at Kwalee, has officially taken the reins as CEO of Swedish game studio Turborilla. Known for its popular Mad Skills franchise, Turborilla has reached over 200 million downloads across its titles and built a strong following in the action sports gaming scene.
Following his departure from Kwalee, Wright took several months to reflect on his personal and professional priorities. During that period, he remained active in the industry through consulting and advisory roles, while spending valuable time with his children. This pause, he said, helped him gain fresh perspective and renewed focus.
When Tobias Andersson and Lars Lindblom approached me about potentially taking on the CEO role at Turborilla, I was honoured. This is a company with real heritage, a legacy in the action sports genre, with over 200 million downloads worldwide and a hugely passionate global fanbase.
