Irish video game industry services company Keywords Studios announced the acquisition of Milan-based PR and communications agency LabCom. The deal includes an initial consideration of €1 million and up to 12.4 million shares as consideration three years from the acquisition date, if certain conditions are met.

Founded in 2005 by Marco Giannatiempo, LabCom delivers integrated communication services, including PR and digital communications advice, social media management, data-driven influencer campaigns and brand partnerships. Marco Giannatiempo will continue to lead the agency under Keywords’ ownership.

LabCom focuses predominantly on the video game sector in Italy and its clients include some of the largest brands and titles in the industry, including Riot Games, Konami and Bethesda.
