South Korean play-to-earn project KlayCity has raised $3.75 million from its seed investment round. Krust and Animoca Brands led the funding round. Other investors in the round were Naver Z, FriendsGames, A&T Capital, OKX Blockdream Ventures, Genesis Block Ventures, Kyros Ventures, ROK Capital, StableNode, PlayDapp, and HG Ventures.

KlayCity is a LandFi metaverse (land NFTs-based metaverse) project that takes our world to the year 2080. Due to weather and environmental pollution factors, the survivors try to save the Earth by inventing machines called LAY007 to clean the world. The NFT plots here are created by dividing the Earth by real-life population.

The project, which includes only South Korea for now, wants to open up to the global market after financing. KlayCity CEO explains how they will use the $3.75 million fund:

“With this capital from our strategic investors and partners, KlayCity will continue to build the virtual world with Land NFTs to allow users to come across a whole different experience in crypto space.”

There are two tokens called $LAY and $ORB in the project. These currencies will form the core economy of the project. In addition, the company will develop more diverse games around the KlayCity story.
