LightFury Games raises $11M to build global cricket title eCricket

LightFury Games‘ round saw participation from Blume Ventures, V3 Ventures, Times Internet, and MIXI Global Investments, alongside a group of high-profile strategic investors from the cricket world, including MS Dhoni, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Tilak Varma, and Sai Sudharsan.

Founded in 2024, the Bengaluru-based studio is positioning itself as an AAA-focused developer aiming to create globally competitive IPs from India. The newly raised capital will primarily be used to complete development of eCricket and build out live operations infrastructure to support post-launch content and player engagement.

With eCricket, LightFury aims to address a longstanding gap in the global sports gaming market: the lack of a definitive, high-quality cricket title despite the sport’s massive global audience. The game is being developed as a mobile-first AAA experience, combining high-fidelity visuals, physics-based gameplay, and live-service systems.

The title is expected to launch in 2026 and will feature a large roster of licensed players, alongside systems designed to deliver realism and competitive depth.
