PTS templates will allow designers to apply textures to 3D models and objects quickly, and the mapping tool will adjust and refine surfaces in detail. Lightspeed Studios stated at Adobe Max 2022 conference that PTS was designed to overcome geographical barriers and centralize the studio’s development resources globally.

Steve Martin, General Manager of Lightspeed LA said, “The next generation of gaming experiences we are creating in our AAA titles require the ultimate level of visual authenticity and collaborative efforts that span multiple regions. It is therefore essential for us to continually evolve our development tools to boost productivity and efficiency,” and added, “We are very much looking forward to more in-depth cooperation between LIGHTSPEED and Adobe in the future.

PTS comes with several tools to streamline the workflows like Procedural Texturing Material Templates, Programmed Texturing Mapping Tool and Photogrammetry Data Processing Tools.
