Flick Games received investments from industry veterans who had experience with Miniclip, Playtika, Huuuge, Outfit 7, PlayStation, and Jagex, as well as blockchain and finance experts. The company is using this newly raised funding to expand the team and already hired three new people for CTO, Producer and Public Relations departments.

The video game company was launched back in June 2020 and its main product is Flick Solitaire, a re-imagined version of the classic solitaire game. The company will also use this funding to expand beyond mobile and create an NFT card-art economy.

Investor & Advisor Pieter Kooyman said the following:

“The mobile solitaire space is incredibly competitive and the reason FLICK will succeed is down to the relentless focus on its obvious competitive edge – the collectible art! The funding round has already paid dividends with incredible hires and the upcoming updates will deepen the game’s already distinct playability.

The IAP/collection mechanic has huge potential and that’s even before the launch of card-art NFTs. 10/10 excited to be on board as an investor and advisor to Ian and his incredible team.”

Flick CEO Ian Masters also commented.

“These days everyone understands the importance of retention in games. What’s so special about solitaire is that when people get hooked they play for the rest of their lives. We’re building Flick Solitaire as a home and a hobby for these players – the most beautiful solitaire experience and a place to come back to whenever they need to relax… with a good flick.”

Flick Solitaire has seen over a million downloads up to this point, and per the official press release their subscription-based revenue model is thriving and the community is growing as well. The game is available on both iOS and Android.
