A new dedicated puzzle game application, Netflix Puzzled, has been released by Netflix, developed by its internal studio, Next Games. Notably, the game is available to play for users without an active Netflix membership.

The application, which launched on November 26, 2025, is a dedicated hub for daily logic, word, and visual puzzles and is accessible on mobile devices and the Tudum website.

The President of Games at Netflix, Alain Tascan, highlighted the game’s accessibility, stating that players can enjoy it “even without a membership.” This move to offer a free-to-play app marks a shift in the company’s gaming strategy, which previously required a subscription to access games.

Netflix Puzzled features eight daily puzzle games, including both classic and original formats. These include the classic Sudoku, four word games (Crossover, Keysmash, Bonza, and Waywords), and two visual or logic puzzles (Starstruck and Shapes).

Integration with Netflix Originals

The launch is timed to coincide with the final season of Stranger Things, featuring a limited-time event within the game.

The in-game event runs from November 26, 2025, through January 8, 2026, and offers a daily themed puzzle based on moments from Seasons 1-5 of the series. Solving these puzzles unlocks exclusive behind-the-scenes footage with the cast, and Netflix members who complete the full event can receive an exclusive Stranger Things theme for the mobile app.

Next Games, the studio behind Netflix Puzzled, is a Helsinki-based developer that was acquired by Netflix in 2022 and is known for games like The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land and Stranger Things 3: The Game
