Pixion Games has announced the company’s first Web3 game, Fableborne. The London-based company was founded to produce games where everyone can have a competitive experience in short sessions.
For the last two and a half years, Pixion Games has been constantly producing, killing and testing new prototypes to develop the game it has dreamed of. Fableborne, which has been in the development process for the last 18 months, has experienced names who have worked in companies such as Konami, Blizzard, Riot, King, Sony, Wargaming, Pixonic, Ubisoft and NCSOFT. With the completion of the prototype and testing processes, Pixion Games says it is preparing to meet users with an ambitious game.
The company plans to release Fableborne, an action RPG game developed by blending strategic base building and role-playing elements, towards the end of this year.
In Fableborne, players will establish their bases and try to gain the upper hand by raiding other players’ bases. Various events, tournaments, and competitions will be held in the game using the “Lunchtime Esports” system. The Lunchtime Esports system will allow players to compete asynchronously under the Pixion League umbrella.
A Different Use of Web3 Elements: Play-to-own
Pixion Games prefers to use Web3 elements in Fableborne with a “play-to-own” title. This system works a little differently than the play-to-earn and plan-and-earn systems.
With the play-to-own system, users will be able to purchase in-game NFTs directly and collect them from tournaments and prizes. Each player will be able to customize their own base and character as they wish and will own them directly. At this point, Pixion Games states that thanks to this system, players can have everything directly and that no progress or prerequisites, etc. will be required for the value of their investments.

Kam Punia, Founder and CEO of Pixion Games, says:
“Fableborne is a competitive mobile-first multiplayer game, but it doesn’t demand an unreasonable amount of players’ time. Players can have a fun, rewarding and enriching experience, battling other players or completing quests, creating smart and powerful strategies over their lunch break or as they travel. We all know the struggle of finding the time to have satisfying gaming experiences and keeping up with the competition. Fableborne is the antidote to this – a new category of esports games that fits around your lifestyle and plays the way you want it to.”
