Sandsoft has invested $3.25 million in the mobile-first racing game developer Tiny Digital Factory.

Riyadh-based publisher, developer, and investor of games, Sandsoft, announced that it had invested $3.25 million in The Tiny Digital Factory. Founded by Stéphane Baudet, who previously worked on famous racing game franchises like Test Drive Unlimited and V-Rally, The Tiny Digital Factory focuses on developing mobile blockchain, racing, and motorsport games.

Stéphane Baudet has some significant achievements in the racing games scene, such as F1, V-Rally, Test Drive Unlimited, GT Manager, and Revv Racing. Under his guidance, The Tiny Digital Factory focuses on racing games for mobile with a team of more than 35 people across Montreal, Canada, and Lyon, France.

Headquartered in Riyadh, Sandsoft Games has a global presence with publishing teams in Barcelona, Helsinki, and Shanghai. Led by CEO David Fernandez and Head of Publishing Miikka Lindgren, the company has ambitious plans for 2023.

David Fernandez, CEO at Sandsoft Games, commented on the investment:

“We’re thrilled to welcome The Tiny Digital Factory into the Sandsoft Games collective of game makers. It has a tremendous track record of producing world-class racing games and is a natural partner for Sandsoft Games as we look to create a lasting legacy of innovative, mobile-first core gaming experiences. The Tiny Digital Factory also shares our philosophy for player-first web3 gaming, where any integration of blockchain needs to deliver unique value for players that can’t be achieved with existing technology. Our new alliance is an ideal match because both teams have the player and gameplay experience at the epicenter of our games.”

Gaming veteran and CEO at The Tiny Digital Factory, Stéphane Baudet, said:

“Sandsoft Games is both a major investor in and supporter of global games industry growth and innovation. The team’s ambition enables us to be even bolder, braver, and better in the talent and tech we allocate to bring stunning mobile games to new and enthusiastic audiences. We are singularly impressed with the AAA team in place at Sandsoft and their player-first philosophy, which is ingrained in their company from top to bottom.”

As the gaming branch of Ajlan&Bros Holding company, one of the MENA region’s largest corporations, Sandsoft games has recently invested in significant IP-linked mobile titles, including Rambo: Strike Force and Pacific Rim: Breach Wars. They are also interested in new and emerging technologies in the gaming space. On the other hand, The Tiny Digital Factory is currently developing Infinite Drive, a Web3 racer in official partnership with Aston Martin, which earned positive acclaim. Sandsoft Games plans to publish The Tiny Digital Factory’s games in the MENA region, utilizing its localization and marketing capabilities to attract players from the Arab world.
