In 2022, the leading free-to-play social gaming publisher SciPlay announced that it had acquired 80% of Alictus, the Turkish game studio, for $100 million.
At the time of the announcement, SciPlay also revealed plans to acquire the remaining 20% of Alictus over the following five years.
Established in 2013 in Ankara, Turkiye, Alictus has achieved notable success with its hyper-casual games, leveraging its sophisticated in-app advertising business model. This approach has driven the studio to surpass 300 million downloads across its portfolio of games.

It’s been 2.5 years since Alictus was acquired by SciPlay and we can now step away with peace of mind, knowing that our team is on a clear and promising path to new heights.

Goodbye, Alictus
It’s hard to believe it’s been 11 years since Ecem and I founded Alictus back in 2013. Now, it’s time for us to say goodbye to something that’s been such a huge part of our lives.So many names, so many moments; each one is deeply appreciated. I’m grateful to all who have been part of this journey, in whatever way and at whatever time you contributed.
And one final note; as Ecem and I close our chapter, Alictus becomes Sciplay Turkiye, with Erkmen leading the team as General Manager. We trust his dedication, passion, and vision will guide the studio to achieve even more! New name, same spirit.
As for me, I’m shifting focus to being an investor in value and growth companies. Here’s to the next adventure!
