UAE-based indie game development studio Kashkool Games has launched Sheba: A New Dawn, a Metroidvania Action RPG that explores the world of Sheba and the corruption of Jinn’s possessions.
Developed by the Almansoori brothers – Omran, Haroon, and Edrees – who are also founders of Kashkool, the game is now one of the few indie titles from the MENA region.
In Sheba: A New Dawn, players can explore the diverse land of Sheba with 67+ unique Jinn and bosses, each offering strategic battles and collectibles. They can also use stylish attacks with 45+ combo skills and elemental finishers.
Gameplay and features
The game’s customization feature is also impressive as it allows players to alter their fighting style with RPG elements and discover new environments throughout their journey. There are also power-ups and abilities to help players overcome enemies and solve puzzles.
Sheba: A New Dawn is now available to purchase for PC via Steam at $18.99. The Almansoori brothers are also getting set to launch the game on other platforms.
“Growing up, we never saw game characters or stories that authentically represented our country’s people and culture,” said Kashkool CEO and co-founder Omran.
“The Middle East has amazing stories, deep history, and rich heritage that we want to share with the rest of the games industry and the world. We wish to build game experiences that bridge that gap and feel a great responsibility to highlight the region’s talent and potential,” Omran concludes.
