Blockchain fantasy sports company Sorare has announced a partnership with the Premier League for a multi-year licensing deal. According to the agreement, Sorare: Football will now feature player cards from all 20 Premier League teams.
Sorare: Football allows players to build and compete with custom teams for certain rewards. The game offers a variety of free, twice-weekly competitions and is also free to play.
The partnership aims to provide fans of the Premier League with a new way to connect with the clubs and players they love. Richard Masters, Chief Executive of the Premier League, commented:
“The way that supporters follow their favourite teams and players is evolving, and the Premier League is always looking for ways to engage with fans. Sorare’s digital cards and innovative online game represent a new way for them to feel closer to the Premier League, whether they are watching in the stadium or from around the world. We believe that Sorare is the ideal partner for the Premier League, and we look forward to working closely together.”
The company has launched new gameplay features to mark the new partnership, including league-specific competitions, draft-based gameplay, and capped-mode competitions.
