Spider-Man 2 claims the top spot in UK boxed retail charts

EA SPORTS FC 24 lost its status as the king of boxed games for this week

GFK Entertainment, the well-known German market research company, announced the best-selling boxed games in the UK for the week ending on the 21st.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 claimed the top spot as the best-selling boxed game of the week, which is no surprise since it sold 2.5 million copies on its release date. Other new releases, Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Sonic Superstars fell short compared to our friendly neighborhood superhero, which is quite acceptable.

Red Dead Redemption clung to the top 10 after its successful performance the week prior. The remastered game had a quick update and became available at 60 fps, affecting sales. EA SPORTS FC 24 lost its status as the king of boxed games for this week, but since the game is extremely popular in the UK, it will likely find its way back to the top.
