CD Projekt prepares to undergo structural changes, starting with merging mobile subsidiary Spokko into its flagship Red studio. According to a FAQ on Spokko’s website, the studio is to be rolled into CD Projekt Red, with some staff given the chance to work on core projects but others are expected to be laid off.

The company wrote,
“During this transition, there will be some staff members who will, unfortunately, be let go. However, we will do our best to support all of our employees affected by this situation and ensure the transition to the next step in their careers is as easy as possible.”
Founded in 2018, Spokko worked on The Witcher: Monster Slayer. The title had a great start with over a million downloads in its first week, but the company stated that the game did not reach its business expectations. The game will be removed from all app stores on January 31, 2023, and will be fully shut down on June 30, 2023.
CD Projekt also revealed that it would no longer continue to support Gwent, and told Eurogamer that the multiplayer spin-off for Cyberpunk 2077 has also been scrapped.
