Vertigo Games, founded by Ali Sayın and Murat Sayın in 2013, is reinforcing its place in the industry as an independent developer that has already made its name in the gaming world. Ali Sayın, the founder of the company, says that growth plans made an office change inevitable.
As Mobidictum Team, we attended the opening party of their new office last week and had the opportunity to have a short but lovely interview with Ali Sayın.
“We made such a decision in line with our growth plans. We want to reach a team size of 35-40 people in our new office, which means a doubling of the team. We have tried to provide better social opportunities and built a better infrastructure. All of this will allow us to move forward with the release of the new games, as well as the innovations we have in mind for Critical Strike..” summarises the transition process to their new office.
Ali Sayın was the guest of Founder Stories on Mobidictum Youtube in August 2021 and shared with us the process from the establishment of the company to the rise of Critical Strike. Critical Strike has doubled the number of downloads since then with an average user score of 4.5 in the Google Play Store, it seems to have managed to please the players. And of course, there’ll be many developments on the Critical Strike in the coming period.
Ali Sayın said something about Critical Strike’s vision for 2023: “In our eyes, Critical Strike is the foundation of the Vertigo Platform, which you will hear a lot about in the months to come. In other words, the infrastructure of our future games will be established on a single platform. In this sense, Critical Strike is indispensable for us. On the other hand, the Critical Strike always remains “young” with ongoing Live-Ops updates. These updates will always provide fresh blood to the game. In short, Critical Strike is a new game with a 5-year history and it will remain so in the future.”
So, after being so successful in a highly competitive genre, what’s next?
Vertigo Games’ new game Project-X, which is under development, seems to set the bar very high in this respect. “Project-X will be our star project, will be a game that we’ll release at our peak. We are aiming for a premium game in terms of visuals, quality, and the size of the audience it will appeal to. Another surprise, an unannounced game will release before Project-X. I hope you will be the first to give the news of it.” says Ali Sayın, who sent a message to Mobidictum followers.
In the trailer released by the company for Project-X, it is possible to get some clues about the basic mechanics of the game, which can be played from both first and third person game mode.
It seems that 2023 will be a very active year for Vertigo Games thanks to the continued success of Critical Strike, new office, growth plans, Vertigo Platform and Project-X. Ali Sayın states that this year will be “a golden year” for them and will be remembered with new games, new records and new names to join the team. They see this year as a year in which they’ll bring their new games to the gamers and they have planned the next year in such a way that their new games will be on the rise. He states that their goal is to further increase the brand recognition of Vertigo Games worldwide and to further consolidate its position in the gaming industry.
