WePlay Ventures, the first game industry-focused investment fund in Türkiye, has announced its expansion into Europe and Central Asia. The company has already taken steps towards expanding into Europe by moving its headquarters to the Netherlands last year. It plans to establish the region’s most comprehensive investment and acceleration platform by leveraging its success in Türkiye.

WePlay Ventures has invested in 15 game startups in Türkiye. The company plans to expand its investment region to Europe and Central Asia and support game startups. It aims to accelerate the early-stage game studios in the area and then invest with the contribution of its collaborations with important game companies in Europe. The company plans to closely follow the early-stage game studios in the region by opening operation centers in 11 countries, including France, Germany, Denmark, and Poland.

WePlay Ventures will launch two new platforms, WePlay Hub and WePlay Starz, which will support startups before investment. WePlay Hub will prepare early-stage game studios for investment by providing training on technical and managerial matters. Startups will receive training on game development, finance, strategy, and business development from expert mentors for three months to help them develop their businesses exponentially. WePlay Starz will provide direct access to many professionals in the game industry, allowing game studios to discover their successful and lacking points by consulting with these individuals.

Through these new platforms and expansion into Europe and Central Asia, WePlay Ventures aims to be in one-on-one contact with early-stage game studios from day one, supporting and investing in them to help establish successful game companies in the region.
