During the New Global Sports Conference, Xsolla, a global video game commerce company, and Savvy Games Group, a games and esports company, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Partnership with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The agreement was signed between Brian Ward, CEO of Savvy Games Group, and Chris Hewish, Chief Strategy Officer of Xsolla.
The partnership will focus on several key initiatives, including opening a regional HQ for Xsolla in the Kingdom and supporting the establishment of Game Development Academy, Incubator, and Accelerator programs to support local and international game development studios.
The Academy will play a crucial role in nurturing talent and promoting game development as a viable career path within the Kingdom.
Xsolla’s CFO Chris Hewish, commented on the partnership:
