YAHAHA hosts Finland’s largest Global Game Jam Hybrid-Site

More than 100 jammers created 80 games over the course of 48 hours, and they received 34,000 plays.

Finland’s YAHAHA, a community-focused and user-generated content platform, recently hosted the country’s largest Global Game Jam hybrid site, with over 100 jammers created on its platform. Over 48 hours, 80 games were made on the pioneering 3D creation platform, with some games receiving as many as 34,000 plays to date. The event was broadcast across YAHAHA’s Discord server, making it a collaborative and inclusive jam.

The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world’s largest game-creation event, and this year’s event took place from January 30th – February 5th, with 40,000 jammers from around the globe creating a combined 7,600 games together. This year’s theme was “roots”. YAHAHA’s partnership with GGJ enabled young game developers to take their first steps into the industry.
