Universities across the globe are competing in UniGameDev, a game development competition organized by Nine66, a technology and innovation company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The competition provides a platform for university students, faculty, and alumni to showcase their game-developing skills to the world.
UniGameDev is a free competition for universities worldwide. The competition is open to all universities, and each university can put forward an unlimited number of teams. Each team must have three to ten members, and team members can be faculty, students, or alumni.
Currently, 53 teams across the globe are hard at work on the first task of the competition. The teams will compete in various tasks, and task prizes will be given to teams, not universities. The top two teams will win a trip to Riyadh for five team members and one university representative, with impressive prizes on the line.
A jury, participants, and the public will cast votes. Each vote will count for one-third of the total votes. The jury and participants will vote once per month, while public voting is open continuously. Public voting is only available to registered participants or those who log in with their Google account to avoid duplicate votes.
