Award-winning strategy game The Battle of Polytopia announced The Battle of Polytopia World Championship 2026, an inclusive esports event with a $10,000 prize pool. This is the second edition of the now annual championship, following the extremely successful Battle of Polytopia World Championship 2025, which had over 10,000 sign-ups in its qualifying round.
Players can register for free to participate in each qualifying round of the tournament, beginning with the Kickoo tribe qualifiers, which take place on May 11 2026.
Over the next 12 weeks (excluding July), players will be able to sign up and participate in weekly qualifiers, culminating in a Face-off on September 20, 2026, where each winner of the 12 tribes will face off. The top eight finalists (increased from last year’s six) will meet, live on stage, in Stockholm on October 10, 2026, for the long-awaited showdown to see which tribe will be crowned the new World Champion.
Players can sign up inside the game (Polytopia > Multiplayer > Tournaments) or online at championship.polytopia.io. A complete breakdown of sign-up dates for each tribe and qualifying match times can also be found on the website.

The Battle of Polytopia World Championship 2025 was won by player ArthurL248, using the Imperius tribe. All matches will take place via PC and Mobile, depending on the player’s preference.
The Battle of Polytopia boasts over 25 million organic downloads on mobile, further increased through its sales on PC and Nintendo Switch. The success of The Battle of Polytopia is largely attributed to its loyal fanbase, who have continued to enjoy the title’s many new features over its 10 years on the market.
